A New Year

Just like in nature, our path is ever changing. There will always be something we cannot predict or control. We may try the best we can to stick with a plan, but those plans may not be where nature intended. So just like a wind changes directions or lead branch on a tree is broken and replaced by another, I find my self wanting to alter the direction of this blog as well. Maybe head in a more natural course with my life to simplify my thoughts and narrow down my passion (because I’m pretty sure complaining about kids doesn’t constitute a passion🤔😉).

So welcome to my new/ old/ ever changing blog that will showcase my work in landscape design, my passion for nature, and my belief that kids should be part of it. Maybe I’ll still throw in the occasional mom grief because who doesn’t want to complain every once and a while, but I think a focus on the positive and what you are passionate about is a healthy direction to head for. I’m so excited to start/continue this journey and for you to come with me on it and see where it takes me in the future.

“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow” Audrey Hepburn

One of my favorite quotes and oh, so true. We are among trees and plants that have persisted through wars and famine. Good and bad times. Tears and laughter. Some hundreds of years old. They were planted with intent. With hope. With perseverance. When I plan a landscape, I am conscious to keep  in mind that perhaps in a 100 years, our children’s children will swing from a limb of a beloved maple that started as a tiny symbol on a landscape plan. So hopefully I can inspire some ideas and be inspired as well. Cheers to a beautiful new year….I can’t wait for what 2019 has in store for us
